I'll Post More Graphic Novel Pics Tomorrow, I Promise!

Okay, like I said with the title of this post, I will post more graphic novel pics tomorrow. Right now I just want to update a few points I posted about earlier.

I have decided to leave my 'Frog Prince' publishing plans go for now. I was adding in some scenes and I realized that my writing style had changed and 'Frog Prince' is no longer high on my list of this-must-be-published. Instead, I will be watching my future NaNoWriMo novels with great interest, preferably the ones with the entire Magical World Warriors. I love that team, after all.

You may also have noticed that the background for the blog is now covered with leaves. That's because soon everything else will be too, at least outside. I've finally decided to accept that summer left and now it's time to get back to work.

...After lunch break.

EDIT: Plus, I drew this hilarious comic I want to post. It's not a part of the graphic novel; just a random comic.

Introductions to my Cast

I decided that if I'm going to post those graphic novel pictures, I might as well introduce my main cast. Here we go:

Nessah Wildsom
A half-wolf man who is a father, husband, king, and warrior. He has three children and one on the way. The necklace around his neck is a magical birthstone that supplies his powers. He is brave and daring, but also gentle.

-The third character to be invented, back in 2008.
-One of the supporting characters in 'Frog Prince'.
-He has three younger brothers.

Quote: "Always have something to believe in, even if it isn't real."

Snow Wildsom
Snow has a lot of things on her plate; she's a mother, nurse, warrior, queen, councilor, adventurer, and Nessah's devoted wife. She also has a birthstone like Nessah, and can morph into a wolf. Snow has a strong spirit and won't take down talk. Despite this, she is a wonderful mother to her three children.

-Snow is the fourth character to be invented, but not directly after Nessah.
-Also plays a role in 'Frog Prince', by Nessah's side.
-Her brother is rumored to be Jack Frost.

Quote: "A full day isn't always a successful day."

 Rayon Hunter
The most popular among the readers and fans, Rayon is amazingly outspoken, heroic, brave, annoying, and dashing all in one. He is the king of Heroicits and the main character in the Far Fetched and Beyond series. Rayon is half lion, but mostly uses his lion form to show off.

-One of the later characters and was invented accidentally during a free write.
-An important character in 'Frog Prince' because of a plot twist.
-Has two siblings, one of which is a criminal, the other friendly.

Quote: "Little ol' me... here to save the day... again."

Sara Hunter
Some readers expected Rayon to ask Sara to marry him, and no one knows why she said yes. She still did. Sara is a sorceress as well as a mom of two children; one adopted, one biological. She is the sensible one of the team (her and Snow), and the main person who keeps Rayon out of trouble.

-Invented directly after Rayon, and directed him on dangerous missions.
-Is not in 'Frog Prince', for at the time she was pregnant and at home.
-Her father was a mer-man.

Quote: "Things are not always as they seem."

Sandra Hunter
She was thirteen when her parents were killed in a car accident. Sandra was quickly adopted by Rayon and Sara, two newlyweds that were good friends with her. Sandra is now a spunky, fifteen-year-old who loves jeans, writing, and adventure.

-The very first Heroicits character invented.
-Made a cameo appearance in 'Frog Prince'.
-An only child.

Quote: "How did I get dragged into this, again?"

Fredrick "Frg" Grandsople
The most annoying and unknowingly the most powerful member of the team. Frg is thirteen, and acts like your typical immature teen boy. He is a total goof and loves pranks, witty retorts, rubber ducks, and UPS. Frg's idol is Groucho Marx, and honestly, you can tell.

-When he was invented, the first thing he did was play a prank.
-The main character in 'Frog Prince'.
-Has one sibling; his sister and taskmaster Rachel.

Quote: "I didn't do it!"

Rachel Grandsople
Rachel is Frg's younger sister, and the two are rarely seen apart. They prank, punch, and pick on each other constantly, but when no one is looking the two are best friends. Rachel is very dominant, beats anyone up that calls her a little girl, and has temper issues. Still, she's a good warrior for the team and helps keep Frg's pranks in line.

-When she was first invented, no one knew she was Frg's sister.
-Gets kidnapped in 'Frog Prince' and hates it.
-In case I hadn't said it enough, her brother is Frg.

Quote: "I am not a little girl!"

Harret
The talking, fun-loving terrier that has a peanut butter obsession and was the first character invented even before December 5th, 2008. Harret is Frg's so-called sidekick and assists him with much chaos. Harret also has a problem where he says what he thinks- without thinking!

-Harret was invented even before the Magical Kingdom started.
-Is right by Frg's side during 'Frog Prince' and enjoys it far too much.
-Has an adopted sister named Henrietta who is a minor character.

 Quote: "I blame Frg!"

I love these guys. ^^

Excuses, Excuses

Despite school, seminary, and other activities, here is the main reason I have not been blogging.

(Click to make it bigger.)

I've been working on a graphic novel with my cast. It takes me about an hour for each page, so I haven't had much time for blogging.

I'll probably post more of it on here, but for now... enjoy the "excerpt"!

Hey, I decided it was time for a funny post. Here's a YouTube video a good friend of mine sent me, and I found it hilarious.

I Should Be Writing

Hello everyone! It's my first day of school, and I am rollin'. Everything went super smoothly. My home room teacher is a blast, I've got a great start to Algebra, and things are going well. Plus I found some new music on Grooveshark. *dance dance*

You may notice some changes to the blog. This is why I haven't written anything, like I was planning to. I am an avid tec geek and never pass up a challenge. Feel free to play with Harret over there ----> he's a cute little puppy. You can throw a toy for him to fetch, feed him treats, and pet him. Oh, and watch your volume... he barks.

Well, I'm pretty much done messing with the layout, so feel free to look around and tell me what you think in the comments. I'm going to go write.

...Once I grab a snack.

Oh, and here's a picture, since I haven't posted many on here for a few posts.

EDIT: Harret isn't showing up (on my page at least), so if you want to play with him still, click here. I'll try to fix it in a bit.

EDIT 2: Or refresh the page....

EDIT 3: Okay, Harret just stopped showing up altogether. This is because of the coding. Harret is intended for use on one site only; a site called Bebo. I tampered with the coding to get him to show up on here, but now it's come back to bite me. I'll probably have to put a different pet on here instead. Here are some ideas.

EDIT 4: Ha ha, tech geek conquers all.

EDIT 5 on 9-9-11: The Harret coding did not end well. You can still play with him if you go here. Now, however, I have a wolf up you might find cool. And, you might not. Feel free to comment and tell me what you think.

Sorry for no posts yesterday; I was going to post about a hilarious incident called the Stinkbug Incident, but got sidetracked when I got into a fight with... ahem... a family member. So, no post yesterday, but I'll try to get another one up soon.

It's All in the Name

Some of you may be wondering why I chose the name 'Far Fetched and Beyond' for my blog. First off, I love the name. Secondly... there's a lot of meaning behind it. It's a long story. Literally, a thousand page long story.

On the story timeline post I did, it talks a bit about one of my writing countries; Heroicits. The first series I did of that country was called Far Fetched and Beyond. That's not why I named my blog that, however. It was because of a thread (multiple threads, in fact) that "advertised" the chapters. These threads were the Far Fetched and Beyond threads.

The most memorable and unforgettable Far Fetched and Beyond thread lasted between October 22nd, 2010, to July 28th, 2011. Note that this blog started the same day that the Far Fetched and Beyond thread ended. (It was what I like to call an Arthur Dent Thursday....) That Far Fetched and Beyond thread had been the longest lasting thread, with the most things happening on it. I had character interviews, polls, trivia, and of course, lots and lots of excerpts. The update days were Tuesday and Thursday.

This probably explains a lot. I update on this blog, Far Fetched and Beyond, on Tuesdays and Thursdays the most (well, not today, apparently), and like to keep things reader-friendly. There's a poll on the side of the blog, and I talk a lot about stories.

You may be wondering where I'm going with this. It may seem like I'm just telling you about why I named my blog what I named it. Actually, today was a special day. Today was the day I got this great idea (cue for "uh oh!") for another way to preserve the Far Fetched and Beyond thread that spanned Oct. '10 to July '11.

It was simple; I copied and pasted the whole entire thread into a Microsoft Word Document. After crashing it so many times that I lost count, I saved it as 'Far Fetched and Beyond Preserved'. And, for the record, I was shocked when I checked the stats.

Microsoft Word Page Count: 199
Post Count: 224
Microsoft Word Word Count: 55,435

That last one really made me go flying backwards in shock. One thread had spanned to the length of a NaNoWriMo novel.

This blog has one heck of a legend to live up to.

Jeans, A Letter, and September

I had several ideas of what to write about today. The top three constestants were ranting about tapered jeans, posting a letter I wrote but probably won't send, or posting a panicked rant about it being September.

So, I'm going to rant about all three.

Two days ago, late at night, I realized that my two favorite pairs of jeans had holes in them and wearing them would now be out of the question. This led me on a frantic search through my dresser to see if I had any non-tapered jeans to wear.

Tapered. Tapered. Tapered. Tapered.

And a strange-looking pair of overalls my grandma gave me and I have no intention of wearing them out in public at all because they're covered with flower designs. They'd look cute on a four year old. Not on me.

Now, moving on. About the letter. One of my best friends leaves for college on the 6th, leaving me here to sword fight without her. I tried repeatedly to write a letter to her telling her how much I'd miss her. Despite my being a writer... it's so very hard to write some things.

So, last night, from nine at night to ten, I wound up writing the longest letter in the history of my notebook. It's probably too late to give it to her now, but at least I finally figured out what to tell her besides "I'LL MISS YOU SO MUCH I MIGHT DIE!!!"

The final ranting- I mean blogging -idea was about September. September is the month things happen. Sadly, the same day my friend leaves for college, I start high school. September 6th is gonna kill me yet, I swear.

I'm going to be taking all the usual courses this year, but also German I. It's required that we take two years of a language in high school, so I've decided to get it over with now so I can take all the geeky advanced computer classes later.

I think that's all for now. For a second there I thought I'd have nothing to blog about on Tuesday's post, but then I remembered that Tuesday is the sixth and I will most likely still be stuck with tapered jeans.
